If you could change one thing in your country....

What would it be?

Maybe it's a law. Maybe you'd like to see abortion illegal. Maybe you want gun control. Maybe you want socialized medicine.

Try to make this something about the society of your country, not you. Don't say "I'd make it a law for hot girls to have lesbian sex with me ROFL!!!" because that's stupid and shows that you are a lame asshole. If that's all you can come up with for a change in your society, out of all the stuff going on in your country, then please insert the following text....

I WISH FOR MANDATORY EXECUTIONS, STARTING WITH ME.

Thank you, come again.

I'd make it so that all these illegal aliens woudl be executed(or maybe just kicked out).

I'm sick of these criminals(hence the word ILLEGAL) getting free health care, free primary education, discount college education, and all these other perks that people LEGALLY living here have to pay for.

Visit and shop for video games at my Amazon-based store, also get discounted HD DVDs while they last.

I would go with socialized medicine.

It seems like the lack of socialized medicine causes so many problems in this country. It’s hard for people to pay their bills as is, but a costly medical bill comes your way and your screwed. And god forbid you get a bad heart condition, cancer, or anything else like that which is gonna cost 50+ thousand dollars because then you are screwed.

And in this country, with the current administration, it gets harder and harder to even get medical care. You used to be able to get medical attention without insurance if it was an emergency. Recently they passed something where they can refuse you medical treatment. That’s not right.

A lot of health problems in this country stem from the fact that people aren’t proactive. They don’t take care of themselves and they don’t see a doctor regularly to find out how. The reason for this is because it costs too much. How many Americans have denied themselves medical treatment because they just didn’t want to pay the cost of the bills? That’s a bad way to live life and it sure as hell shouldn’t be happening in the United States.

Also the costs of medical care and drugs is absurd in this country. It just costs way more then it should. If you go to the doctor tomorrow for a regular visit expect to pay at least 100 bucks just for seeing him, if he does any tests add 50 for each one. And if he has to put you on drugs then Lord knows what your final bill is going to be.

I think the worst part about it is the working poor and elderly who can’t afford this stuff. It’s really an awful deal we’ve given certain people in life who have done nothing wrong but been placed in a specific situation.

I really think the United States is behind the times on this. We’re a great country with a lot of wealth, we could easily afford this and we should really move forward with it as soon as possible.

I just don't like the way medical care is so damn expensive in this country. It's freaking unreal. A young child gets sick in this country, family can't afford insurance and they get fucked with a bill they'll be paying on forever. Something needs to be done with that.

We also need more money in the school system, especially the inner cities. The education these kids are getting is awful.

I wish we could also find a way to keep mills and other businesses from going to mexico and other countries. We need jobs damn.

Healthcare would have been my #1 as well so I will go with another since it has all ready been mentioned.

I would put a stop to or severely limit sending jobs overseas for ridiculously low wages. That is not right and it only benefits big business while it is getting harder for Americans to find good jobs. Those companies should have to employ Americans.

Park the old car that I love the best
Inspections due and it won't pass the test
Funny how I have to put it to rest
And someday I will join it.

That does annoy me, you see companies laying people off and sending jobs oversees and then you find out that top management are making millions of dollars. The CEO of Nike for instance makes something like like $20 per minute every day.

I'm not trying to get into a debate here, mostly because I agree about the outsourcing thing, but I think it's worth pointing out how hard it is to control.

Unless the United States banned all foreign goods (say goodbye to televisions, dvd players, computers, and working cars) it would be nearly impossible to control the flow of jobs. Companies who outsource generally have to. I mean, think of it this way. If you make 9 dollars an hour at your current job and could make 90 dollars at another job across the street, wouldn't you take that job across the street? Forget loyality, it's ten times the pay.

That's the sorta problem a lot of companies face. Not to mention that if they stay in the United States they won't be able to compete and will go bankrupt.

I'm not really sure what the answer to the problem is. I think a lot of it has to do with education. We need to make education and technology such a large focus that we can compete with lower wages. If our men and women can simply do jobs that people in Mexico or India can't then they are not going to be able to take our jobs.

I think if the Government spent more money on research for like medical care, space programs, and alternative energy sources we would create a large opening in many jobs in the country and re-focus on education. For example, when Kennedy focused Government money on NASA math and science became a top priority at colleges and highschools and jobs increased by a large margin. Not only does it help the sector intended (the space program) but it opens up a ton of other areas as well.

The idea of so many jobs in the United States being mainly service industry in the future strikes me as really scary.

Yeah that is a problem. But surely there are some companies that could afford to employ some Americans. As with anything I am sure this is being abused and could be at least trimmed down a little.
