Someone very close to you is in pain, paralyzed, and will die within a month. He begs you to give help him die sooner. Would you?

Yes I would, I feel that if someone wants to die they have a right too(in that type of situation at least, depression is not a good reason). If someone has a terminal illness and are suffering why not give them the right to end their suffering?

I agree 100%. I have no moral objections whatsoever.

I honestly must know, If someone very close to you begged to die there and then with your help.. you would just let them suffer because of religion?

Im not having a go, or disrespecting your belief.. I just cant understand the religious objection

Well for one, no one I know would ask me that because they would never put me in that situation.

But theoretically if I were in that situation, I would absolutely let them suffer. In my beliefs it is better to please God than man, and I believe God does not want us to kill.

I may get labeled a religous nut for that by some.

I think I know why Dak objects, something about how it's God's decision when somebody dies.

Of coarse, using that logic you could say they shouldn't perform life saving operations either.

I'm not saying I agree with that statement, I just think that you could see something 2 different ways.

Took the words out of my mouth TJ.

My sister is very religious and she tells me that 'man shouldnt play god' or something.

But we do that so much in society with other things.. surely death isnt even sacred anymore.

Back on track Dak..

What about taking an animal to the vet to be put down.. we are all gods creatures, does that count too?
