How do you get around?

If you're going somewhere, how do you like to get there?

I'm very addicted to the Megabus, only bookable online and you get a code to give to the driver rather than a ticket so they can keep their costs down. The earlier you book and the lesser the demand, the cheaper the journey.

Where a train return (leaving one day, returning the next) for my nearest city up here in northern Scotland to London would cost a couple of hundred pounds, the cost on the Megabus would be from £2 to probably £20 at the most I think, they're clean, comfy, have a toilet, so it's all good really.

Do you have anything similar in the US, but also, what's your wheels?

We have greyhound. It's hardcore ghetto. I stay away from there. There's Laketran too, much like Greyhound, it's ghetto. It's also filled with old ladies. Strange mix.

I prefer to take the car. It drives nice, it's a comfortable ride, and get's 20MPG (Miles Per gallon) max. You haven't enjoyed driving until you driven a BMW.

Car mostly, I go to alot of sports events, so me and my buddies take it in turns driving places. Although yesterday I went down to West Wales, and we decided to take the train because we fancied having a few beers down there. It was the first time I'd taken the train in years.

Strictly driving here. No public transportation in my town, it is too small.

I'm a good old rebel,
Now thats just what I am,
And for this Yankee nation,
I do not give a damn.
I'm glad we fought against her,
I only wish we'd won.
I ain't asking any pardon for anything we've done.

Walking or the bus usually, I don't have my own car yet.

Visit and shop for video games at my Amazon-based store, also get discounted HD DVDs while they last.

Because ours is just from the net, it's mostly nerds and students on the megabus - it's a grand tradition of student life up here. It's actually cheaper than taking the car by a long shot, and is pretty much fully reliable.

You always get a two elderly couples that asked their grandson to "book one of those superbus things I've heard about". They usually smell of piss and complain the whole way through.

Booked a Glasgow return for a gig - both to and from the main bus stations so it's all easy to find - £2 each. It's about £30-40 on the train, and with this stupid new legislation coming in in April that will allow elderly people free bus travel anywhere in Scotland, it'll be the only guarenteed way to get a seat on a bus.

God knows how I'll be able to get a bus home from Uni, the old people just form their own queue for the bus, when you protest because you can't get on, the driver don't care. Imagine what it will be like when it's all free.
