What is everyone's favorite restaurant and why?

I ask why, because it's not always the food.

Theres a place in town here called JNL which makes the best Burgers on the Island.

Swiss Chalet and Kelseys. Just awsome food.

There was this Taco Bell in Chicago that sold cocaine out of the drive-thru. That always used to be my favorite but they closed it down.

There's a Thai place about 100m from me that does great curry's, and if you get in before 5pm they're meals are like $7 each.

About 10 minutes walk there's King St, which is entirely restaurants, and that's where my favourite noodle bar is. They have great laksa.

I know a great dumpling bar on Haymarket St in Chinatown, further down the street is the best Yum Cha in town. I'm a good 20 minute walk from there though, so I can catch a train to central or just not bother. I usually don't bother.

Most western food is boring, loaded with fats and sugars and easy to cook yourself for much cheaper.

Plus you don't get yuppie points at a steakhouse.

There's a Swiss Chalet in Victoria; I think it's like a half-Harvey's though too. On Douglas, near Mayfair.

Disco, I love me some Thai food as well. There's a great Thai place in town called Baan Thai; that's one of my favourites. There's a Greek place in Langford/Colwood as well called Colombo's, which is fantastic.
