Talk about anti-American. What could be more anti-American then a symbol of what nearly took us apart completely and destroyed us?
The Civil War killed something like 200,000+ people but 9/11 killed 3,000. How come it's 9/11 that everyone gets worked up over? Fuck, you eat French Toast and someone acts like you farted in their coffee but you got a confederate flag on the black of your orange 1979 pick-up truck and it's "hellz ya". Come on people.
Furthermore, it's these same hillfolk that think burning an American flag is wrong. What's different with owning a Confederate flag?
I thought it was amusing that on the movie poster for Dukkkes of Hazards they didn't put the flag on the car. I guess they figured too many groups would/ did complain.
In Grade 9, my teacher asked if anyone in the class wanted the flag, as she for reasons unbeknownst to me had one in her desk. A couple of friends and I staked claim to the rag, and set it ablaze behind the hockey rinks later that evening. Funny enough, we just did it because of its American representation.

It could be the fact that the Civil War was almost 150 years ago. 9/11 is still fresh in everyones mind. They all remember where they were on 9/11. All they know about the Civil War they read in their history books. Not taking away the importance of it or the devastation that it caused but it was just so long ago. The Civil War should not be forgotten, but 9/11 is just more emotional for people today because we all lived through it.
This was the flag of the Confederate States of America(The South) during the US Civil War. Look up info on the civil war for more about it.

Just a thought.......
I do realize the emotion involved in 9/11. My point is, the Confederate flag as a symbol represents something far anti-American then French Toast or French Fries, the thing nearly took us down for the three count.
For me, it's a lot more anti-American then not believing in the Iraq war (but that opinion has now changed).
I suppose the Confederate flag doesn't really mean anything to non-Americans. I will be honest and say that it doesn't really bother me, the only time I dislike it is when I see white supremicists carrying it.
