Rep Power: 6 | I know my parents love me etc. and are proud of me and everything. However, I do feel some underlying obligation to keep trying really hard for THEM. There is no pressure coming from them whatsoever, but I often find myself being motivated by the horrible thougt of letting them down. For example, I have an exam in about 8 hours and I have hardly done any work all semester. My dedication to uni has completely disappeared and I think I'm a little burnt out. I really couldn't care less if I fail and have to repeat the subject next year, but I'm trying to study because I know my parents will be disappointed if I don't do well. So I guess Im always trying to prove my worth to them. |
