Gym mishaps

Have you had any? I had one today.

I was doing incline presses with a personal best of 55 lbs a side, and on the second set on the 7th rep on the way down my shouder ( rotator cuff) goes out of the socket a bit and I lose control of the weight. I went to let go of the weight but I couldn't because the weight and my hand were both falling in the same direction. My shoulder could only go so far back and the weight finally spun out of my hand onto the floor.

At first I thought my shoulder was going to be fubared but, surprising enough, it was just slightly sore and I went on to do one more set. It was scarey though. I think one guy saw it but he didn't even react to me and I was like whoa that wasn't fun lol.

I have never completely dislocated my shoulder and I am lucky it didn't this time either, or I would have done some serious damage.

I done the whole not clipping the weights then struggling on the last rep and the weight comes off one side then the bar dips on the other side and the weight drops off that side and your wrestling with a bar that weighs nothing from side to side as weights clang and roll everywhere and people come in to see whats wrong and you go soooo red you could cook eggs on your forehead.

Moral of that long sentence "Clip your weights".

I had a sig, once.

I was doing squats in the school gym once.

I was school captain so everyone knew who I was.

I squatted down on my 2nd or 3rd set and deadset could NOT find the energy ANYWHERE to get back up. I ended up rolling backwards off my feet onto my back and letting the barbell slam into the wall. It was really embarrassing.

The other day I was running on the treadmill, and my friend Kristy came up behind me and said something. For some reason, I turned around, turning my foot sideways in the process, resulting in me flying off the treadmill, hitting her, and us both falling to the ground. We just sat there on the ground laughing for a few minutes while everyone in the gym stared at us.

I don't do weights really, cause all the machines are super confusing and nothing like the machines from my gym at home. I would just end up using them wrong and hurting my self, looking like an idiot in the process.

About 3 years ago, I tore a hamstring in kickboxing class. We were doing roundhouse spin kicks and when I swung my left leg out to connect with the target, I felt a bit of a rip and then went down. It hurt like Hell. I managed to limp my way out, but since then was unable to go back to class. Had to stretch and ice the thing. Luckily, it got better, but still when I stretch it a little it gets kind of stiff.

I have popped blood vessels in my face twice in gym class. I was trying to earn a letter in weight lifting, so I was maxing out on the bench press. 250 lbs. I got it, but held my breath, big mistake, as I was doing it. My face was red for a few days.

The next month, I tried to max out on squats, I don't remember the weight, over 300 lbs., and I did it again.

I also tore a ligament in my wrist with a combination of weightlifting and lacrosse. It is beyond repair. Surgery helped a little with the pain but it will never heal.

Someone dropped a barbell on my foot once.

That's the only gym accident i've ever had.

I thought it would be funny to slap this guy on the ass in the change rooms.

He liked it.

Bad times.
