Have you failed a class? A marriage? A relationship?

I can't be the only failure alive. Or can I?

Perhaps you are a failure at making me feel better. The choices are wild and endless, just like my fictional (or so you may think) Internet life.

Is there a difference between failing and just not succeeding yet?

I have failed to put my family into a detached four bedroom house with a swimming pool and bought a holiday home yet? But isn't that just that I haven't succeeded yet.

I can't think of anything that I've failed at really.

I failed to keep my promise to a girl called Dawn once that I would take it out before I finished.

I failed to own up to a (slight) handball before scoring the winning goal in a (soccer) cup semi final.

I failed to keep my promise not to create a thread when I reached 3000 posts.

I failed to not be racist in front of our new Korean poster on here.

I think some of those are failures anyway.

No, I don't think lack of success and failure are one in the same.

It's mostly attempting something and crumbling in a pool of your own ignorance, insecurity, and devilish good looks.

I got 2 out of 10 on a writing assignment last month.

I honestly just sat here for five minutes and couldn't think of anything bigger than that. So there, failure.

I've failed classes. I've had girlfriends throw my shit on the lawn and call me all kinds of horrofic names.

One time I was praying and Jesus told me to just stop.

I tried to take the relationship angle with this topic... but all my relationships just seem so high school.

I got back together with a girl once, dated for about 4 months, but could never get much out of her -- sexually or emotionally. That's failure, I guess. But at what?

I'm 19 and I still live at home. There, I thought of something.

That's not failure is it? Doesn't that mean you still have a decent relationship with your parents? How is that failure? Why am I asking so many questions??

I was still at home at 23, it depends on the deal you have at home I guess. I'd have still been there at 30 if the Circus hadn't come and taken me.

My greatest failure...

I don't really blame myself for this anymore.

But when I was young my uncle killed himself and my aunt at a family party. At the time I observed him behaving oddly and before I could get to an adult to warn them that something was wrong gun shots had gone off and chaos happened.

I wondered for years what had happened if I had been faster....but I have made peace with it for quite awhile now.
