Getting onto the actual point of the thread, if you're doing a list (of wrestlers for example!!) and you said Curt Hennig, Rick Rude, and Hulk Hogan. That would be wrong (and not just because you should never put Hogan in a list with two awesome wrestlers who are dead). The list should gramatically read Curt Hennig, Rick Rude and Hulk Hogan.

Most of my writing profs have encouraged using the word "and" as little as possible. That is, when proofreading an article, look for every "and" and make sure it's necessary. Like there, I'd probably change that sentence to "look for every "and"; make sure it's necessary" or split it into two sentences.

As for your original question, it's not grammatically incorrect, no. Obviously it depends on the case, and Bulldog provided a good example.
