Teenage pregnancy

Well, it saddens me to say that 90% of the girls who i grew up with in school were parents before they were 18... and alot of them are single mothers. (Kind of echoes the old Offspring song 'Way Down the Line)

I cant work it out. My mother was 16 when she gave birth to my sister, my sister was 16 giving birth to her first son. I cant see how someone would want to throw their life away at such an early age.

Another thing that irks me is the housing around here. There are 3 of us living here in a very small home, and are trying tog et the council to move us to a bigger house.. but apparently this house is big enough. But if a pregnant 16 year old wants a house.. she gets a 3 bedroom en suite the next day.

The amount of girls around here who have had their babies taken away is also alarming.. its like reality has finally set in that they havent lived yet and havent done the things they planned on doing before throwing their life away.. thats not fit for motherhood.

I think if a teenager is pregnant she should either terminate it, or give it up for adoption.

The UK is a socialist nightmare, just like in all the books I read.

The local council are the people who maintain this town.. garbage men work for them, they house people, clean the roads etc... well thats what they tell us our council tax is paying for

Its mainly low income, but anyone can rent off them. There is also another body here called the Housing Association (Which is what we are on) Same thing, a large company that buys a load of houses and rents them to people.. mainly low income
