I don't know about being arrested, but I know you can in fact get fired for stuff you post on message boards. GameStop, for example, has a rule where if you post something representing them or about them you can be fired.

Be interesting if anyone knows. I guess(!) the internet is just an extention of the media and therefore could provoke someone to take another to court if they said something litigious against someone else.

For example, if Hunter was to come on here and find out that someone has said categorically that he takes steroids and he can prove he doesn't, I guess he could sue them.

I'm guessing celebs have enough libel cases going on in life without trying to trawl chat forums for slander.

Be interesting though if, for example, someone on here started a thread saying another member was homophobic and they decided to take it further.

Interesting stuff. We need a law man. DMW looks like a lawyer, where's he when you need him?
