Why do people worry so damn much..

..about looking like an idiot in front of people they will never see again?

People are always worried about how their hair looks at every waking moment (mostly women) even if it's just the video store, people worry about public speaking, people worry about saying the wrong thing in front of a stranger... I don't get it.

Another example.. One of my friends went to the club last night. I didn't go, I was tied up with other shit, but he gives me a call today and I ask if he had fun, did he get fucked up, meet any girls, etc..He tells me that he met a couple chicks whatever, but the girl he was really interested in he was afraid to talk to her..

.. Why are guys always intimidated by these women? It's not like you are going to die. If you ask her out and she rejects you, you move on... There will be other girls. Seriously.

I think in that latter example, it's just a case of confidence. If you approach a girl and get shot down, it's a blow to ure personality and/or your appearance.

One of the biggest problems in society today is people just wanting to fit in. And willing to do anything to achieve that, or keeping their mouth shut as not to ruin that. So if i guy makes himself look like an idiot, he feels as though he doesn't fit in and there is something wrong with him, i guess.

Because if people have low self esteem the last thing they need is someone else rejecting them. First their parents, then their teachers, their dog ran away, if this chick turns me down too I think I'm gonna die =(

I just think it's weird when people care way too much about what strangers think of them. The girl rejected you.. so what? It's not like you have to see her and all her friends laughing about it at school or something. You'll prolly never see each other again..

I understand the whole blow to your self esteem, but after all it is just a stranger. He's a good looking guy. If he asks enough of these girls out he's bound to find one that'll like him.

Don't you think it's funny when some people get all pissy over the net also? I just thought about that.. Some people take this net shit way too serious.

Some people, treat things said on the net as it's life and death. I agree, if you don't really know the person why should u worry and get all pissy just because somebody says "No thats a stupid point"

well there are reasons for example at my work there are hot girls that i wouldn't mind asking out or anything but if there is the chance of rejection i think it would be akwards working around them. id rather be friends and have fun at work then try to be more and end up being nothing at all ya know

Well..that's a bit different. You have to see them everyday. Besides, being a friend of a hot chick can sometimes lead you somewhere. Maybe you'll get introduced to one of their hot friends, or maybe they'll fall back on you when they get mad at their asshole boyfriend. They'll fuck you out of spite
