It's easy to be open on an open forum. Nobody cares what colour Demetrius' faeces is, its all just out there. And you can touch and suck whatever you want.

But around people in, gulp, real life, do you let them into your bedroom and go through all your stuff? If you are on the computer and a bunch of your friends walk in, do you let them see exactly what you are doing online and who you are chatting with? If you were on a national television show like Big Brother and you were aware that everyone you've ever known, from your kindergarten teacher to your first love to your grandmother, is watching you, would you be yourself?

I hide different sides of myself from every person I've ever known and Im incredibly private but instantly likeable being able to adapt to different situations and people. I'm still wrestling with the thought of whether or not I am a fake person, but I do believe most of the time that I am holding onto my own character and extending a different part of me to different people. Im still unsure.

I actually wrote a piece about something similar earlier in the year on my website. I think your last paragraph sums up my character as well. I will mould myself differently depending on the people i am around, and theres very few people around, that I would be closest to being myself with.

I wish my sex life was like ECW, first you get a One Night Stand followed by 2 months of nostalgic orgasms and then 6 months of constant sucking.

I'm not really a private person, and I think I'd let friends glance at my emails and my AIM conversations. As long as they don't just stare over my shoulder the whole time and bother me, and the messages aren't too personal.
I too, act differently around different people. I don't think I'm a fake person, I just display the same qualities I do as the group I'm with. If i'm with my wrestling friends, we can talk mostly about wrestling. If I'm with my math buddies, we can be nerds and talk about math and other stuff they like. I share my different personalities with those who match those certain ones.

I am a really private person and act much diffrent in public than I do at home. If I was on a show like Big Brother there is no way that I would be myself.

I am a very private person. I act different around different people but I think that is common. I don't think a person would act the same around their friends as they would if they were around their parents or grandparents.

I'm a pretty private person, at least until I get to know a person after a while. In fact, most of the people at work think of me as the quiet guy, but once I know someone I'm the total opposite.

However, there are still certain things that I keep private. I tend not to kiss and tell, but my friends tell me everything (despite the fact that I don't really care to hear about it). If I'm having a personal chat on AIM or Yahoo or something, I don't like having someone over my shoulder looking at what we're talking about.

And no, no one can look around my room. If they did, they may find the porn I have scattered about, and that'd be a no no.

As an add-on question, isnt it insane though when someone is really open about their life?

I have a few friends where when a bunch of people are at their house, everyone is free to roam through the house like its their personal property. One friend in particular, I never really thought about it before but we all just sit around her room and can pretty much look through anything and she wont give a damn. There's no secret cupboard for hiding condoms or pantyliners or dildo's, her life is completely open.

Thats totally insane. Imagine living like that. I'd love to be able to, and even though there actually isnt any porn in my room, I probably could let people in, but I dont. Naturally Im private, without having anything to hide.

I know girls that will get the dildo out in front of me when they're drunk, try and get me to play with it and shit. Everyone's pretty open when they're drunk though.
