Do athletes make too much money?

Hm...well, I think athletes do get paid too much. If you think about it, many athletes get paid in the hundred thousands or millions to do something that they love to do...which sucks for the professions where you have to study your ass off or risk your life...but on the contrary, for those who loves sports, its the top athletes that draws them to watch the product and buy things that the athlete endorses...like Nike shoes...so, I don't really know...but I bet there are probably extremely good athletes around the world but will never be discovered and never make it to the big leagues...

Ida, the difference is that teaching is not a revenue-generating profession, unless you teach at a private school, or in a university. Athletes work in a field that generates a tremendous amount of revenue (as do lawyers, doctors, etc.) and they are entitled to a fair cut of the money that is raised by them doing their jobs.
