I have taken Biology classes in college. Still didn't provide any facts. It is taught as theory which is exactly what it is until proven otherwise.

You all are intelligent because you do the same only with Creationism. That sounds a little messed up if you ask me.

Rep Power: 19 ![]() | Yes, it's a great show. Dak, Scientific theory can be proven by scientific facts. Like I said before, almost everything that we have in our lives and that we accept as true is based on some scientific theory. Creationism is not scientific theory. You can't take it in a lab and test it and show evidence of truth in it. Hence, it makes absolutely no sense to include it in a science class. |

I can't argue you with you there. Religion should not be taught in a Science class!! There is nothing wrong with teaching Evolution as a theory. But it should not be presented as fact.

Peas in a pod, baby. Peas in a pod. Last night, Bill was only too happy to let us know just how gross and Hitler-y our boys at the NAS really are: “While speaking to some Texas reporters, President Bush opined that he believes public schools should expose students to both evolution and the so-called intelligent design belief concerning creation.” (…) “Whatever your belief, it should be respected. But the National Academy of Sciences and the American Association for the Advancement of Science both reject intelligent design and don't want it mentioned in science classes. That, in my opinion, is fascism.” Fascism. Now that’s an ugly word. It brings to mind mass murder, totalitarianism and teachers not covering unscientific theories in science class. Of course, the only reason the National Academy of Sciences and the American Association for the Advancement of Science reject intelligent design is that it’s not a scientific theory. For one thing, it’s not falsifiable -- which makes it not science. That’s not fascism. It’s common sense -- in the same way that not teaching beach volleyball in organic chemistry is common sense. Let religion be covered in churches and religious schools. Oh, that’s right, all the churches have been shut down by our fascist government. An openly religious man can’t even get hired in Washington these days. For shame, America. For shame.

I think they should at least have to give a brief overview of sorts of other major theories. So this is how a Science class would go: The teacher would get up and teach about the theory of Evolution. What if theres a question if there are any other theories. The teacher would have to say "Yes, there are other theories about how we got here but it is against the Constitution to tell you about any of those. I can only tell you about Evolution". That gives the kids a lot of choices doesn't it. They might as well just tell them what to believe while they are at it. Sounds a bit Fascict to me!
