The original hebrew version of the bible also uses the term gods, see that plural, but I don't see any christians running out to claim that part is true.

So you say you can't prove long term evolution b/c all we see is minor changes, well yeah, the process takes longer than anyone can study in one lifetime.
It's good to study pandas and to study evolution in moths and other creatures that have very short lifespans but reproduce often, such studies have show that evolution does exist. just b/c no one was around for the last few million and billions of years to write down every little change doesn't mean there hasn't been drastic evolution over the long term

Just because there is not a person alive today that was alive when God created the world does not mean that he didn't create the world either.

ok Dak, I live in KS so I'm used to people putting their fingers in their ears and ignoring anything that doesn't toe the line that they follow. It's good to at least look at the info that is out there instead of blindly saying there's no proof, even if you still want to believe in God. I have nothing against people believing, I understand that need.
but why don't you look at some info. admitting that evolution exists doesn't mean that God doesn't. Perhaps we can look at God as the 'watch maker'

me, when I need a God to turn to, I turn to Mardock to fill me w/ love and knowledge, look him up. Christianity stronly parallels those believes w/ Mardock as the supreme god, guess which one came first.

I am not interested in any biased tv program. Why don't you tune into the Christian Broadcast Network. Because it is not going to change your mind. Same reason as to why I won't watch the Evolution program.

I should have Craig put a little into this thread later tonight. He loves studying how many older and now forgotten relgions strongly parallel what later became christianity. Many of his books imply that the men who wrote the bible and preached the faith were plagarists. others imply aliens created man rather than god.

The bible never argues for God's existance, rather it always assumes that he is there, that he exists and has always existed.
Craig would love this topic, maybe later he'll weigh in.
