Polygamists of Colorado City

I was watching Prime Time last night and the show was about the city and how everyone there is married to everyone else. It also focused on a woman who was also sexually abused by her father and she faced him to confront him about what he did. Wow, words can't even describe how he acted. He started off by saying how beautiful she looked. It goes on from there with her telling him the stuff he did and he said he was sorry and just didn't know it was wrong.

There was a lot of interviews with her confronting others in the town who didn't help her. She was in a Polygamist marriage herself and was even put into a mental hospital because her husband said she was crazy when she wanted out of the lifestyle. A police man even showed up when she was going around the town and he was one of the officers who took her away. He played dumb ( although at this point I think it is pretty clear everyone in the town is fucking stupid as hell) and she asked him questions and he seemed to have forgotten the whole thing.

The state even brought in an appointed law man to clean up the place. At one point the Sheriff was asked if he had more than one wife and all he said was "no comment" wtf? lol anyway, during the interview the reporter was driving with the law man and some people from the town were following them around. You could see vans and cars starting to line up driving behind his car. There was about 7 in total. So far he has made 8 arrests with men who married underage girls and are currently looking for the leader who is known to have armed bodyguards.


How fucked up is this story? I couldn't believe what I was seeing. When they were doing other interviews with people in the town, it was like they were all freakin inbreds or something. What was even more shocking was the ones who seemed to have a head on their shoulders and got all defensive and acted like they were doing nothing wrong and had no problem with being made to look like the shame of America.

I suggest you look for the Episode online if you haven't seen it. It is pretty amazing to watch.

This does sound pretty fucked up..It was in Colorado you say? Hmm.Actually, this sounds like something out of a movie or something. It prolly would make a pretty sick movie.

At the end the law comes in and just starts blowing people away..that'd be nice.

But seriusly, I would lie to check that out. It sounds interesting.

They all claimed to be "fundamentalist Mormons" and don't call it polygamy, they refer to it as "plural marriage".

Man you guys have to see it to really believe it. I was in shock the whole time watching it. I am sure it will be on limeware soon. I really don't get how people can live like that and do it so openly! The Sherriff? Wow, and they State only bothers to send 1 guy in to clean things up? I think they didn't want to make a big scene of things but after it got aired lastnight, I think it is a little late for that now. Apparently they covered a story there before as well.

To think that it has been going on for more than 60 years.
