So I have 8 points against my license. 4 more and they suspend them. I thought I had found the answer to my problems in the form of a $200 radar detector. That worked well for almost a year until I got a speeding ticket for 72 mph in a 55 mph zone. That took off 5 points and it sucked big time. The other ticket was pre radar detector and it only took off three points. But the one I got while using the radar detector was completely bogus he was sitting on the right side of the road of a fourlane instead of between the lanes in the median like they usually do. So does anyone have any suggestions for me? And I don't want to hear any of you Sunday drivers say "just drive the speed limit" because that's not an option.

i guess depends on what kinda car u got...cuz i always speed alot..*and touch wood* i haven't got a speeding ticket once...sometimes I think cops look at what kinda of car u got..to hand out speeding tickets

Well I use to think that had something to do with since I use to drive a red Ford Mustang and I guess it does to an extent. But when I got the 72 in a 55 ticket I was driving a 93 Lincoln Town Car. That is not known for speed.

I've only got one speeding ticket. After paying 100 bucks for such a senseless thing I wised up on the whole issue. You really don't save much time speeding, unless you are traveling a very long distance.

There's been a bunch of times where I did about 80-85 and passed a bunch of people, had a very, very short piss break, and get back on the highway only to find all the same people I passed like an hour ago.

This weekend I had a state trooper follow me for about 30 minutes. It sucked. I was completely lost and it was about 1 AM. I finally just pulled off to a gas station on let him pass me.

Personally, I'd reconsider that thing about not going the speed limit. Here, and everywhere I've been, the cops are everywhere. They can clock you from several ways. I remember in Minnesota they clocked someone from a helicopter.

Some chick told me that she got clocked and the cop was IN FRONT of her. Doesn't that suck? They love those overpasses too.

Yea cops fricking suck especially in Kentucky. All they want over there is money. The 72 in a 55 I got was in Kentucky. He was sitting on the right side of the road and around a curve. My radar detector was on and humming but it just didn't pick him up in time for me to slow down. But he still should not have been able to get me though because my radar detector scramble the radar and they are suppose to get three consecutive numbers within 3 mph of each other before they can get you. There is no way he could have done that. But whatcha gonna do? If I had fought it the judge would have just took the policemans side and then I woulda had to pay court costs too. Makes me just wanna floor it and run next time I see the blue lights behind me but that would probably just mean jail time CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Aren't radar detectors illegal there?

I think they might be here but you see them a lot.

No they are in Virginia but not West Virginia, Kentucky, or Ohio.

When the weather is nice the cops always set up traps in my neighbourhood on 2 certain streets and they're either hidden behind a huge bush or at the bottom of the hill so they can make their quota for the day. Duh! A car naturally accelerates going down a hill, bastard donut suckers!!! I never speed and if I do, it's usually on the highway, but only 10 over the limit.
