First of all....Wales is a fantastic place. It's given us J-M, TN and houses Deadly D so it has it's merits!!

Secondly, we do get jingoistic and nationalistic over here as well, particularly for sporting occasions. We just suffer with having 50% of the population then moaning because the Union Jack (British flag) has been associated in the past with the BNP (British National Party) so you get huge amounts of PC burkes telling us it's racist to show our own flag.

British National Party. I don't read their literature so my comments can be taken with a pinch of salt, if you ask the British public at large they're perceived to be a very right wing, national nazi party (rightly or wrongly??)

We do get round it because being English we use the English flag which is the Ensign (White flag with a red cross) or flag of St George as it's more commonly known.

Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish people have their own flags too so it's not too often you see the British flag at occasions anymore, can only really think of The Olympics.

No they've not had any MP's (Members of Parliament) which I guess is a little like your Senators. But they have, I think, won local council elections mainly in towns that suffer with a large race problem, e.g Burnley in the North.
