I'm "considering" it (not for maybe a couple of years yet though). Anybody have any good or bad stories about how it went for them or their peeps!!!

The comedianne Kathy Griffin is all over the news here saying she had that surgery and is having severe complications right now that are leading to her going blind.

I'm not sure of the validity of her arguement but it's something to consider I would think.

Is this something about one of the operations being the old one where you get one eye done and then the other six months later (which is meant to have gone through years of testing....is this one PRK?) and the other one (I think Lasik) where you just go in off the street and get it done in your lunch hour. I don't know if the second one has enough history behind it. Just can't mess with something like your eyes and get it wrong!!

I have only listened to her talk once but she said she had Lasik eye surgery and then developed complications where she had to go back in and have another surgery. She claims to now have 17 stitches in her eye and is going blind.

Several docs have been on tv saying there's nothing wrong with her and she's doing it for publicity.

I'm unsure what to think but it does sound outrageous.

I would do it if I needed it. I wore glasses when I was younger but I was diagnosed wrong and I really don't need them now. It is a little expensive though.

My boss had it done last year over March break and it cost her $3,000 CDN. (yeouch!). Would get it done if I had the cash.
