I just found out that I have to pay to use text messages on my cell phone. It's 2 cents for every incoming message, 10 cents for every outgoing message.

That's not that bad, but I still think its a little silly

For outgoing you do know that yahoo messenger will text message any phone for free right?

Also there are other programs out there that can send text msgs for free like Chikka. (sp?)

Same here spidey. I have Virgin Mobile so I can recieve text meesages for free,although it costs 10 cents to send them.

Im on Telus which is just a rip off. They put me on a plan which is for $35 a month for 100 mins and thats it, for intenet is something like .10 a min, than I gotta pay for texting which is stupid and they gave me a crappy phone to boot. I cant get out of the plan because I would have to pay to get out of the contract.

Get this.... Rogers can hook you up with a plan which would give you 2 phones of any sort (even the expensive ones) and all that text/internet crap for free for the first 6 months for $35 a month, man did I ever get ripped off.
