I Want to talk about this, No racist remarks, no slander, no crass talk or anything offensive whatsoever... Just a discussion. I will impose no harsh opinion, will not insult anyone nor will I flame... I just want to ask one simple question..

Do you endorse mixed race relationships? (as in two people of differnt races marrying and having children together)

I certainly wouldn't have the slightest problem, personally. The main girl I was with, until a year ago, was of mixed race. And I don't have any issues about it. My father might have something to say, though. I don't think he's racist, maybe just xenophobic.

But i'd like to expand on the question if thats ok.

Is it imoprtant to want to preserve your own race and cultures, and do mixed race relationships jeopardise that?

How would that jeopardize anything?

Most cultures here in America are mixed so I don't feel that it would wreck someone's heritage, at least where I am.

No one I know is 100% something....they all have mixed blood in their family.

I have a cousin who is half-black,altough i'm not mixed at all. I have no problems with mixed relationships. Just because you are in a mixed relationship doesn't mean you can't preserve your own culture.

I think it's unfair on the child. They then have no race, basically no identity, and tend to want to discard one of their backgrounds in order to be something. Rarely do they embrace being mixed.

thats a good point quack , but i think as generations develop and new generations evolve people are beginning to be more open minded and accepting these facts i think that if you are in love no matter what age/colour/sex then it shouldnt be an issue , ok maybe sometimes it can be but thats in like extreme cases ( 60 yr old men - 20 yr old girl or sumtin) but other than that society is growing and people have become more 'adaptable'
