i'm writing a paper about why current and active anti-abortion groups, ex what's left of operation rescue and the army of god, could prove to be dangerous, esp in light of recent events (terry shiavo and eric rudolph's capture/manifesto) and what gove could/should do to prevent/punish violent acts.
any suggestions.


for another class, i'm writing on why the moon landing was/wasn't faked, i haven't picked a side yet b/c i could argue both ways, but i have to pick.
i have lots of info, like the photos, the van allen belts, the lack of blast crater, the stupid crap about there being no stars or that the flag moved, that an observatory in texas claims to work w/ a laser ranger that was set up on the moon...etc.

any help or ideas would be 2 sweet.

I don't know if this will help or not, but when I'm doing a paper where I have to pick a side and argue I always pick the side that the teacher believes to be true even if I think the teacher is wrong. I just usually get a better grade that way. The teacher's always say "you don't have to agree with me, you can form your own opinion", but I don't believe them.

Too bad you weren't doing it on pro-life for the abortion thing, I have a ton of information. I go to a Catholic school, that stuff is drilled into my head. So why could these groups be dangerous? Well, many are associated with the Catholic church, which is one of the world's largest groups. I don't have exact numbers but I know there is 2 billion Christians in the world. This is by far the largest religion in the world, and masses of people against something can be dangerous. I really am not sure how they would be dangerous really though.

I could be mistaken, but I thought Islam was the most widely-followed religion in the world.

Then again, you go to Catholic school, so you might know more than I do. I just thought I remembered hearing that somewhere. Correct me if I'm wrong

i'm doing both papers. the moon hoax is for 'history of conspiracy theories and paranoia', a cool class. and the teacher doesn't believe either way.
the anti-abortionists are pro-life, as for dangerous, i'm talking about bombing clinics, shooting doctors, basically "potential loss of human life, threat to government stability, potential economic loss, etc"

I once got into a big argument with this dumb bitch that I used to be friends with about the flag on the moon thing. She said that the fact that the flag is extended out, as if there was wind, proves that the moon landing was fake, since there is no wind on the moon.

I tried explaining to her that since there is very very little gravity on the moon, if the astronauts extended the flag out themselves, the flag would simply stay in that position without the assistance of wind. And she kept arguing otherwise. It was so fucking frustrating

That second question just seems stupid. It would be like creating a question like this:

Did the Holocaust actually happen?

The Holocaust did happen because...

Yet it didn't happen because....

Tis stupid, a paper like that on conspiracy theories.

plus there was a rod in the top of the flag to keep it extended out. the metallic staff used to plant the flag and rod at the top made the flag bouncy, which people (mistakenly)think is wind.

as for conspiracy papers being stupid, there are so many books on different theories it's not funny. (look at the jfk/oswald incident, there are thousands of books on that being a conspiracy w/ oswald as a patsy or not involved at all or etc)i would hardly say there is the same amount of proof for the moon landing as there is for the holocaust. and i am not arguing both ways, just that it did happen or that it didn't.
