Did you ever get marks off in English class because you would leave fragmented sentences in your assignments?

If so, how could you be so fucking stupid? I will never understand this.

The haste is all in good fun, but seriously... what is the thought process? When writing a sentence like this. I'm editing a friend's paper right now and it's full of them.

I've done a billion papers. I'm sure I've been marked off for sentence fragments here and there.

How can I be that stupid? Staying up all night before a major assignment is due and turning it in without editing it properly is usually the reason why I am stupid.

I think the sentence fragment is an art-form that must be mastered before one can apply its brilliance. There are times when the fragment can provide sharp, snappy, or even sarcastic contrast. Like this. But also sometimes worded very poorly and a terrible effect.
