I'm actually reading The Da Vinci Code right now. Not bad fiction. And considering that the author, Dan Brown, is a Christian himself, there doesn't seem to be anything saying that he believes what he wrote.

In fact, most historians will tell you that the likelihood that Jesus married Mary Magdalene is slim to none, considering that Jesus started his ministry at the age of thirty and would have been past the age of marriage for a Jewish male.

Also, the idea that the gnostic scriptures have more historical significance than the canoned gospels is absurd. It's a matter of faith, and the gnostic scriptures (i.e. Thomas, Mary Magdalene gospels) have no more relevance to history than the gospels themselves do (note: I believe that the four gospels are in FACT history, however since many are skeptical that any or all of the events happened, it must be referred to as a story...sadly).

Anyways, these Catholic bookstores shouldn't get too upset. I'm reading The Da Vinci Code and all it made me do was read my Bible more. Is that so bad?

i think this movie looks rather dumb actually. I mean i can see where people wouldnt want this movie to happen czu they will believe this stuff is true when its clearly fiction, its another case of the blair witch project

I cannot wait for May 19th. not for Kane, but for the Aussie release of the Da Vinci Code. I have never been so amped for a movie. I enjoyed the book that much

Yes, I used to as well, however too often they weren't witty like this, but just crap.

They also, I believe, forced other members with not such strong views about subjects to avoid posting in anywhere other than the wrestling forums since they either (a) didn't get it or (b) didn't want anything to do with it!!
