Rep Power: 19 ![]() | I used to read Dean Kootnz as a lad. Phatoms was pretty good. They may have made a movie. Stephen King retired from writing fiction (last I heard) after The Dark Tower. I like Stephen King, to an extent. As far as pop fiction goes he's pretty clever. I read the first four Dark Tower books, mostly in high school. I got the fifth one at the library a few weeks ago and could hardly get past a few pages. You're right, it's fucking awful. Maybe I'm just too old for that shit, maybe it gets better somewhere as it goes, but there's no way I could read that. I saw the movie The Stand and thought it was pretty good. |
