Nice attempt at looking intelligent, too bad a psychology degree has fuck all to do with becoming a psychiatrist. A psychiatrist prescribes drugs, and is therefore doctor. It follows that to become a doctor you need to go to med school, then specialise in psychiatry as you would any other speciality.

In Australia at least, to become a clinical psychologist you need to do a three year bachelor of psychology, plus one years honours, followed by two years supervised training in the field.

To become a psychiatrist you don't even need any psych, just a med degree and then studying psychiatry as a specialty.

Psychiatry and psychology are quite different fields, and actually take very different approaches that often clash ideologically.
