If you've read the book or seen the movie you can probably better understand why this news isn't so shocking. I've never enjoyed his work very much, many did it better, but I do respect any writer outside of the main fray who can make it. |

Rep Power: 31  | i thought he might o.d., but otherwise i see no other way for him to go. fear & loathing is one of my favorite books, i also enjoyed some of his editorials and some of his work where he followed the hell's angels. not all of his work was great, but it was all thought provoking. i was so sad yesterday when i heard, i spent the day in minor mourning mode | |

Rep Power: 6 | Personally I believe he was a manic depressent. Its how he came across (and I don't mean he spent 24/7 depressed) somebody who suffers from this is more focussed and a bit of an extrovert with their ideas. its just my view. R.I.P | |

Rep Power: 19 | Actually, he killed himself on purpose because of various health problems. It was well planned and not so much a mental anguish thing as a physical one. He didn't want to be an old cripple (which is certainly what he would've been given his previous drug use). |
