Texas Hold Em

I am going to my buddies house for the Patriots and a Texas Hold Em set of Tourneys.

We all toss in 20 bucks then play till there is one winner then start over again. The prices go up as the day goes on.

Narc, give me some pointers. One of my friends is REALLY good at cards.

DD's Favorite of All Times

I finally played live and it was fantastic.

If hes way better than you, then youre best strategy would be, not to give him a chance to outplay you. When you get a good hand against him, just go all in.

Texas Hold 'Em is a fantastic game. We have the odd night where we chip in a tenner each and play to the end. I'm a bit of a poker fiend it seems, I've won every time (Except for once, when they got me drunk. But it doesn't count.)

I've actually just invested in some quality weighted poker chips for my mate, it's his Xmas pressie. Lucky git, they're amazing, I want 'em.

I think I played this as a drinking game. I don't remember if that was it. I was 5 shots deep in the first 15 minutes. But from what little I can remember, it was a really cool game.

Yes, I won and 2 out of 3 rounds. I find when you play people, you have to know how to bet. If you get a good flop, raise but not too much and see if they call, If they do, bet high on the turn and hope they bite. Going all in is best left til you are short stack and are just being slowly takin out by the bluff. Take a chance and go all in on a strong blind or after the flop.

Yes, betting is the key. The best thing, the thing you should do, is always bet the pot. You can never go wrong doing that. Also if you are playing someone way better than you, by going all in (when you got a good hand of course) you are basically taking away his skills to outplay. Thats why pros hate No-Limit games. Now when I tell you to go all in, is only when he is in and only when your hand is not AA or KK or if you are looking at the flop, the nuts. Trying to outplay him is useless, if he is better than you...right?
