Why do Americans make such a big deal over football on Thanksgiving... I mean, there's football at least two days a week all season, and on Thanksgiving we're always subject to watching Dallas and Detroit... ugh.

And on an unrelated note, do they market non-light beer in America? The only commercials I see are for Bud Lite, Miller Lite and Coors Light... there are people here in Canada who drink regular Bud and Miller Genuine Draft, and it's 5% like standard Canadian beer...

I'm gonna get all uptight because nothing is going right: I burnt the turkey, the reception cuts out on the game, and the beer I bought is some ***** ass light shit (by mistake of course). My first Thanksgiving since Mira (my wife) died leaving me with 3 kids (and a plethora of zany encounters on a weekly basis) is going down the drain.

I fret about because I'm upset that Thanksgiving has been ruined, but by 28 minutes (less ad breaks) into the day I come to realise the true meaning of Thanksgiving - family. We realise that we have so much thankful for; despite all the hardships we've suffered, we've still got each other, cue sap music.
