ha, seat belt laws, what can they pull you over if they see you aren't wearing one or do they have to pull you over for something else first?

I think it depends on the state. Most of them, I believe, need to have another reason. They can just make those up though.

yea i kno that is what they do here but i haven't got pulled over yet.(only once but it wasn't my fault)

They can stop you if they notice you not wearing one. That's how it is here and the rest of Canada, as far as I know. It's $128.00 fine now too, plus a point of your license I do believe.

I got pulled over once for not wearing my seat belt. The cop was cool and told me to just put it on so nobody else stops me.

A friend of mine was driving with me and he didn't have his on, so we met a cop heading the opposite way and he turned around and pulled us over. The funny thing is that by then, my friend had put his belt on, but the cop still charged him for no seat belt.

lol, yesterday i went thru two stop signs and didn't use a blinker makin either turn right in front of a cop and i didn't get pulled over.
