Rep Power: 17 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Question of the Day Your hand: 8-7 of Spades Game: No-Limit Texas Hold'em, Tournament Position: Late Type of game: Regular Blinds: $500-$1000 You are at the final table and are the chip leader with half of all chips in play, which is $100,000. Everyone folds around to you. The small blind has $10,000 and the big blind has $9,000. You make it $3,000 to go, the small blind calls and the big blind folds. There is $7,000 in the pot and two players. The flop comes 9h-7d-2d, giving you an open-ended straight draw. The small blind moves all-in for $7,000. What do you do? Fold Call

Rep Power: 17 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Correct answer: Call. The pot is laying you 3:1 on your call, which are your odds for completing the straight. It is hard to know what you are up against as you can be a big underdog or even have coin flip if your opponent has two overcards and no flush draw. Also, you have a chance to knock out a player without jeopardizing your chip lead. This can make a call correct even if you do not have sufficient pot odds.
