But there will be an eruption for sure. The only problem may be that there are no significant cracks in the dome, which means no one knows where the lava will go. I assume that with this type of volcano, there wont be as much lava as there will be dust and ash, but it will probably be pretty bad. | |

Rep Power: 24 ![]() ![]() | Actually it won't be as big because the last time it erupted there was 100 years of build up. This time there is only about 18 years worth of build up so it didn't have near as long to get to the point it was the lest time it blew. |

It all depends on how long the pyroclastic flow takes, density of the magma, and how much of a pressure change there has been in the area. Also bet you didnt know there are several volcanos in Vancouver which are several hundred years overdue for an eruption. And yeah, I know quite a bit about volcanos Birdman, I had to write a 15 page research paper on Mt. Vesuvius, which is very similar to Mt. St. Helens. Now we have all had a little lesson about volcanos for the day. | |
