Rep Power: 22  | If they are so pointless then why do thousands of companies base their survival on them in the form of tv ratings,the same as polls. If you like something you vote for it and then it is averaged out over the general population. To say they are meaningless is lack of knowledge and understanding of what they are used for and why. |

Rep Power: 9 | Polls are one of the worst things to ever happen to our electoral process, but I have more faith in their accuracy than most people here apparently. Polls are the reason why the electoral college is unacceptable in this day and age. |

And in the end, many believe Dole would've had a larger turnout if it weren't for the widely used poll numbers that he was so behind. Clinton may never had a blowjob. When it is close I think they are of no use other then to show that it is close at the time. I don't recall how close thepolls were with Bush and Gore though. | |

Rep Power: 5 | Polls do have there uses because in this case last week Bush was winning in the polls, this weeks hes not, in the middle was a debate. That paints a pretty vivid picture in my mind. Sure there not accurate but there the best you can get. Do you think that kerry will gain further after the next debate (on domestic issues is it?) If the polls keep going this way it looks like the US will have a new President. |
