Stupid protestors

Fortunately, I dont work close to MSG, so I havent witnessed the chaos of the past few days. Apparently, over 1000 people were arrested yesterday, and hundreds more in the previous days. In fact, over 500 people were arrested over the weekend, BEFORE THE CONVENTION EVEN STARTED!!!!

Protestors have been setting things on fire, beating up policemen, and spitting on Republican delegates. One protestor ran onto an MSNBC set and grabbed Chris Matthews. Another snuck into the Garden, harrassed Dick Cheney, and then actually fought with Secret Service agents

There are lawyers standing around during the protests, watching to make sure that no protestors are victims of police abuse. They are easily noticable, as they are wearing bright green hats. There is a video of prtestors viciously beating up a police officer, while one of these green-hatted lawyers watches and does nothing.

The funny thing is, all the trouble that these people are going to will accomplish NOTHING!!!.

These people make me sick. And i'm not even a Republican

Yeah I'm all for the 1st amendment and everything with the right to peacefully assemble to protest the GOP convention but if these protesters get violent and endganger others they themselves should be treated like terrorists.

I hate fuckin protestors. They act like dickheads and throw shit at cops and then the cops give them a few whackings with the stick and they start crying say they weren't treated fairly. well, maybe if they weren't complete retards and understood how to protest then shit wouldn't happen.

People these days look for any reason to get angry. I bet if you asked half the people who were arrested, they wouldn't be able to debate more then 10 seconds for the side they are with. Most likely they negelet things and slack off about things they they are protesting. I saw on the news a Bush support assult a Kerry supporter because he was close to him. WTF? The dumbass did it right in front of a cop too. Being angry and wanting a chance is different from assulting someone just because they don't agree with your views and holding a sign for who they support.

My problem is people equating protesters with terrorists. So if you protest the President you are as good as someone who kills 3,000 people? I'm sorry but that's just insane and lacks any kind of depth in reality.

No, not really. They're usually big, stone-faced guys with ear pieces standing a foot away from the President, Vice President, and thier families. Pretty easy to spot, actually

Also, I have no problem with people protesting, but then when violence becomes involved, thats where you draw the line.

I read a story about one group who recieved a permit to protest near Ground Zero on the grounds that they stayed on the sidewalk and didnt block traffic. So, what happened? They got in the middle of the street and blocked traffic. Then, when they got arrested, they were yelling "Why are you doing this? I didnt do anything wrong!!!"

We have the right to free assembly, but it has to be a peaceful assembly. When you start setting fires, beating people up, and spitting on people, thats no longer a peaceful demonstration.
