The citizens of Boston rest easy in the knowledge that Simon the Stout watches over them, ready to crush criminals at the drop of a hat.

Where I live is very safe all year round, if you keep out of trouble (Complicated situation).

But, if you go North, to Belfast City, it gets crazy this time of year. Just yesterday I went to see Bob Dylan, and it was one of the most peaceful June 26ths in years (Its marching and protesting season- dividing Catholic NAtionalists (Me) and Protestant Unionists) but still quite nuts. We tried to stay inside as much as possible so as soon as we got off the train we got a taxi straight to the Arena (Which is in the middle of the city) but the taxi-man was Protestant, and as soon as he realised we were from down South he was taking a 'Different route'. Then as soon as he said "OK once I get past these houses the rest of the city's blocked so I cant take you any further" we had to get out of the car and ruuuuun baby. Y'know why he'd leave us there? So other Protestants could see us in the neighbourhood and kick the crap out of us.

We made it to the Arena by going through some un-safe places, if people here you talking on the street and they sense your accent, you might be in trouble. We walked through some damn rough neighbourhoods and didnt say a word, and we saw bonfires of Tri-colours packed 20 feet high (Tri-colour being the Irish flag) and when we got to the middle of the city where its safer, a pack of about 8 guys over-heard us talking and started looking at us funny. Then they called over their friends across the street, so there was like 25-30 guys standing infront of the Arena within seconds, so we quickly gave the people our ticket and walked into safety. If we had nowhere to go we just mighta been pretty screwed.

Its fine all year long, and then comes the 12th of June, every weekend after that up until the end of August it just gets very un-safe around the middle of Belfast. Its a shame, I had plans for looking for a house to live in up there this summer and now its going to have to wait until school actually starts.

Give it time

I used to feel a bit timid when i went to Toronto, just cause i'm from a smallish town. But actually i would feel safer there at night then i do here.

There are alot of idiots, and people who drive up here just to start shit. I used to cut through a forest on my way home from my friends, but a few weeks ago i got grabbed by some drunk guys. They would have been in their early 20's, and the bastards took me down and ripped the strap off my favourite shirt. Then i screamed and they let me go. It was kinda scary.

Now whenever i walk my friends home or go anywhere at all after dark, i take my dog with he. He's a super protective German Shepard/Lab. No one messes with me when he's with me.

But there are always reports of girls getting followed home and stuff. Guys always try to pick me and my friends up in their trucks and yell shit at us.

No, I don't really get scared. If someone wants to beat my ass, they're welcome to try - likely they will. All I ask is that if you're going to kill me, make it quick.

Damn Straight. Hyde recently hired me. I walk roughly 5 paces behind him whenever he leaves his house. If someone approaches him I simply yell "Yo Bitch, step the fuck off my homey here before I lay the Smackdown on yo candy ass!!" Then I hit them with my taser.

Generally as a rule I like to use The Rock's catchphrases as they are the most imtimidating.

Hyde also pees on my victims when I am done with them.
