| France honors Americans From CNN: PARIS, France (AP) -- France has bestowed its most prestigious honor on 99 American veterans, thanking them at a pomp-filled military ceremony for helping to free Europe from Nazism 60 years ago. I guess they wanted to put the medals to use since they don't have anyone there to give them to. No point in them sitting around collecting dust! | ||||||||||||||

The French and Polish provided major resistance in the second World War. In fact, without their resistance a lot of major operations would've never ran nearly as smooth after and with D-Day. We were counting on them to take out various units, including units upon trains which, if they would've made it, would've been a major blow to the allies.
