Digital Camera, what should I buy?

I am thinking about picking up a Digital Camera but I don't know a good one to buy without spending a lot of money. Does anyone have any good recommendations?

This is what I have. The pictures come out great and it has all the bells and whistles. I can hold over 250 pics on my memory card.

I have a Kodak 2.2 Megapixel. I can hold 300 pics at 1200 X 1800 res or 1588 pics at 900 X 600 res (256MB card). Quality is top notch. I find Kodak easier to use, with less complicated menus than other brands I compared with (especially Canon). It was fairly expensive though ($499). But like Simon's, has all (well..most of) the bells and whistles. There are a lot more expensive cameras out there, but there's less expensive ones too. All depends on the quality and features you're looking for.

I have this one....

It was $369.99 Canadian plus $139.99 for the picture card. I forgot how much the lithium battery was since I wanted two of them and I also forgot how much the warranty was. By the time I was done it was around $700. You don't need the warranty and extra lithium battery though. It is a good camera though so if that is the price range you meant I would recomend it but I don't know what you mean cheap. I consider it cheap since there are some digital cameras that are around $1000 for only the camera.

If you want cheaper then there is this one that is $199.99.

In my opinion Olympus are the best cameras you can get so whatever price range you are looking at I would recomend an Olympus.

If you want to see the quality then here are some resized pictures of when I went to Fernie last weekend. Most of these were from the drive there though ;)

Some rocks and trees that I was taking a picture off. Didn't even seen the mountain goat until I got home and uploaded the picture.

Some deer.

Just a picture from the hill of a lake, trees etc. Don't know what is on fire.

A clock in Kimberley. It was like a ghost town there.

Some of my uncles cows.

EDIT: I have a feeling Lycos has closed my account for no reason again. Idiots :?

EDIT #2: Made a new account so they should be working now.

How about a question with pixels and digital cameras.

Is 2 megapixels pretty good?

I've found a digital camera with 2 megapixels and am wondering if it will be decent or not. I'm not looking for perfection, just something decent and tolerable.

I see nothing wrong with the 2.2 megapixel. It takes excellent quality pictures. Easily just as good as the pics Cyrus posted.
