Rep Power: 5 ![]() | Ben Affleck I just got done reading a great article on Ben Affleck in the latest issue of Rolling Stone. I used to hate this guy with a passion, but after reading many interviews and seeing the guy on TV, I've gained a lot more respect for him and now I think he's very cool. I feel bad for the guy for getting his head knocked off by the media all the damn time. The media should stay out of his personal life. Ben Affleck does hate the media with a passion and I can feel his pain. In the Rollingstone article, Ben blamed the media for the breakup with J-Lo. I really despise Jennifer Lopez. She just used him for the celebrity attention and money. In my opinion, the reason she dumped Ben was that Ben said, "he woudln't marry until Media backs off". Weeks later, J-Lo just dumps in that quick. That was pretty disrespectful of her. That just shows that J-Lo used him for attention and money. Before "Gigli" came out, Ben's career was at a success, but the movie "Gigli" killed his career. Everything else Ben released after "Gigli" bombed in the box office. "Paycheck" the thriller, was bombed as well. But I'm positive that Ben's career will get back on track and get successful again when "Jersey Girl" comes out, that movie looks like to be a hit, and it looks like to be a good one. I'm not a big Kevin Smith fan, and I don't like any of the Jay and Silent Bob movies or any other movies Kevin Smith did, I hated "Chasing Amy". Kevin Smith's movies are all overrated and I find nothing special about them. But I actually want to see "Jersey Girl" as it does look entertaining. I might actually check "Jersey Girl" out. I also heard that Ben had decided to quit doing action movies to focus on more comedy. I was hoping he would sign on to "Daredevil 2" but I doubt he would do it. I thought Ben did a fantastic job in the movie "Daredevil", his acting was so good in that movie, "Daredevil" is probably Ben's best role in his entire career. Other movies I liked with Ben Affleck: "Reindeer Games", "Good Will Hunting", "Changing Lanes", "Sum of All Fears", "Phantoms", etc. So Ben, there is a lesson to be learned when dating women, never date a celebrity woman again if you don't want to get caught up in the media. Thoughts? |

Rep Power: 19 ![]() | I pretty much hate him. He's acting has been horrible in everything I've seen him in. Reindeer Games was the only movie which I really enjoyed by him but his acting was horrid in that one too. However, he was on SNL last week and it was probably the best SNL I've ever seen. He could have something with this comedy thing. That sketch about Gigli with the mentally retarded kid telling him it would flop was hysterical. |

Rep Power: 9 ![]() | Maybe it depends on your background, but as a Catholic I grew up learning all the Catholic mythology that Kevin Smith parodies so beautifully in this movie, so maybe it's because I am (was) a Catholic that I found it so funny. I just think it's one of the best written films ever made. It's one of those films that you probably need to see a couple times to catch all the jokes. Not to mention that Jay and Silent Bob are always hilarious. |
