He even gets the Steiner sucks chant and gets pissed at the crowd when they do, yet he teams with Test who is face about to turn heel. Rock would have been booed anywhere b/c Hulkamania revived itself that night. Hogan in action w/WWF for the first time in almost a decade got a monster pop and the crowd ran w/it. ####, I cheered for Hogan, and I'm sure a lot of others did. Besides Rock's face pops were getting smaller at the time as rumors of him leaving for the movies surfaced. Same thing happened at Summerslam w/Brock - Rock was the face, got booed for leaving. Just b/c it happened in Canada doesn't change anything, ECS. You're completely wrong here. Just admit it and cut your losses.

This Agruement is pointless, Steiner was a face back when he feuded with HHH and got cheered.

This hogan crap is crap. Hogan never played the crowd UNTILL after they started cheerin him, Then he went with the hulk stuff....He went in the match as the bad guy/nwo. That is facts. Canada is the one who cheered the heel and booed the face. face those facts. Go rent the video if you need to.

Hogan didn't play the crowd until the end of the match, ECS. But that doesn't mean he didn't get a face reaction during the match and it doesn't mean that he wouldn't have if we was anywhere else. Fans were just looking for a reason to cheer for Hogan and as soon as he stepped into the ring for his first main event match in a decade.

He would've gotten that reception anywhere, as evidenced by the fact that once he did make the complete turn, the fans went completely bonkers and he got a title run. Just b/c it was in Canada makes no difference.

As for Steiner, he has been steadily booed for his poor workrate and boring matches. The reason he was getting face pops prior to the HHH match is b/c he was never really in the ring to show how poor his wrestling can be - nothing but chops and slams. Once the crowd saw how awful he really was (the first chance they got at a long match was when he wrestled HHH) they booed the #### out of him and have been since. His face pops were short lived and based solely on hype and his image - once fans got a chance to see the real Steiner, they booed him, even though he was a face.
