Random Talking

Do you ever just talk to people you don't know or hardly know? I don't mean small chit chat at a party or anything like that.

I mean, if someone calls your place (wrong number), will you carry on a conversation with them or if someone on your IM isn't the person you thought it was?

Sometimes, I do. Like just now on MSN, I sent a message to a guy I went to school with...turned out to be his mom instead (who I don't ever recall meeting but she seemed rather excited it was me). So I chatted with her for quite awhile.

Or this other time, someone called my place by accident but I talked on the phone with them for like 5 minutes before they realized it was the wrong number. :p That was funny.

Now you share...or else. ::hmmm::

I'll chat with people on msn that somehow ended up on my list and I have no clue who they are. Sometimes I chat to people on the street or the bus if something happens to cause us to speak to each other. But I guess that is chit chat but most conversations are just chit chat really.

When Hellkat and I first started chatting on here, we sat in the KYN chat and talked for hrs. We had so much in common that we never ran out of things to talk about.

I do it all the time. I walk up to people and say random stuff all the time. I just always picture them walking away thinking "What the F was that all about?"

My old roommate and I would have contests to see who could stay on the phone with a telemarketer, operator or wrong number that called. He actually got a date with an operator once. (he didnt show actually go on the date though)

Good stuff. When telemarketers call, try talking to them in a cheesy game show voice. They don't know what to do. Or sound wicked interested in their product. shouting such things as "YOU CAN'T BE SERIOUS?!!?" or "WAIT TILL ALL MY FRIENDS HEAR ABOUT THIS MADNESS!!" or the best one "I just farted."

I never talk to random people. I'm one of those "only speak when i have something important to say" kinda guys, so bullshitting with telemarketers isnt my cup of tea. I also dont like ####ing with them, because i used to do that for a while and i know how much it sucks, and i pity them.

I do, however, have a funny talking to random people story. Last weekend, me and a couple of my friends from college went up to Buffalo to visit a friend of ours. We went to see the Rangers-Sabres game, and my friends father came along with us. He was really drunk and was just striking up conversations with everyone. we were taking the subway from the arena to the bars, and he strikes up a conversation with two random guys, and says to them (bear in mind, that his son is sitting right next to him): "So I married this Ukranian chick, and things are starting to get a little stale..."

We all burst into laughter, and everyone else on the subway started laughing too. It was so ####ing funny
