What Democrat has the best chance of beating Bush? I say this because I think even our conservative friends can come up with one guy who they really believe has a shot (however small they may believe) against Bush.
I hear a lot of conservatives say Joe Lieberman as their pick.
Three things...
1) He is a minority.
2. He has no chance whatsoever. On most gallup polls he doesn't even show up. And even Edwards shows up on polls.
3.) He is dry and too conservative for most democrats to have any interest in him.
Howard Dean. I would've said Wesley Clark, but he's an idiot. His campaign advisors have already had to cover up for him numerous times.
I hate Joe Lieberman. He's a big supporter of the PTC (parentstv.org), which basically calls for complete and total censorship of what is on TV's. I can only imagine what would happen if he became president.
If you really want the White House I think Dean is your man. He probably is the most popular (as far as Dems go) among people in the middle and the right, and those are the votes you should be concerned with.
You know we all want to see Wesley Clark and Pres. Bush debates. Clark would slaughter his ass. Clark is one smart sob and as a former military general i respect his opinion because it supposedly differs from the rest of the military.
In all likliness only Clark and Dean have a chance.
I wish Dick Gephardt had a better chance in this thing. Personally, I like him more than Howard Dean. He has some charisma, is a bit more direct, isn't stiff at all, and is more likeable.
I still think Dean can beat Bush, but I think Gephardt would have an easier time at it.

They said the same thing about Gore and how he was going to tear Bush a new one but it didn't come to fruition. Somehow Bush came out on top in public opinion polls.
It's hard to have much of an opinion about any of them because Dean is the only one with any kind of a platform.
Which one of them was saying that they want to fight for the men with the Confederate flags on their trucks? That was funny.
It's fun watching the Democrats tear themselves to pieces - perhaps my favorite part of the whole election. The confederate flag thing was almost as priceless as the media frenzy that occurred afterwards.
I think Clark stands the best chance of knocking off Bush.
I just saw John Kerry on Leno and I have to say I was pretty impressed. He actually had a semblance of a platform and I surprisingly found myself agreeing with him with regards to the situation in Iraq. He's the only candidate I've heard that isn't dwelling on the past and spewing WMD rhetoric. Overall he made a lot of sense and is somebody I would seriously consider voting for if he got the nomination. At this point in time, I can't say that about any of the other candidates.
