Firewalls on my pc - Do you know how to get around them?

Does anyone here know how to get around a firewall? I have one setup at word and I cant seem to play certain games. For example www.goldenpalace.com has a free poker game that you can play but it can never seem to connect because of the firewall.

Please help this degenerate gambler.

The software may require certain ports to be opened. I tried to see if they listed them on their website, however I could not find anything.

Try to set your firewall into DMZ Mode and see if you can connect that way.

What type of firewall is it?

Normally there's an option that says like "Set this computer into DMZ Mode." Others, such as ZoneAlarm, is just putting it at the lowest security level. If it's a hardware firewall (such as through a router), you'll have to login into the router, then choose your computer and select to put it into DMZ Mode.
