Do you know anyone who has killed themselves?

Today a friend from my highschool killed himself.

I've just realized that I've known a few people who have killed themselves. None of them have I been great friends with, still...it's always strange to know someone who has died, especially as a suicide.

I can't really say so myself, however I have had friends talk about/attempt, that is never fun.

I don't believe anyone I know has ever killed themself, and I'm pretty sure none of my friends have ever even attempted it. My close ones anyway. I know people who are always talking about it, saying how it's their only option, and they come to school with little scabs on their wrists, but I don't consider that a suicide attempt.

Two years before I began high school, a girl in grade 12 here killed herself by OD'ing on Tylenol.

My aunts boyfriend did. I didn't know him that well but I met him a couple of times. They were both in a hospital getting mental help for trying to kill themselves and met there. So who didn't see that ending coming. I have no respect for people who kill themselves.

I dont know anyone who has killed themselves. Although i know many who have died. as well as friends who have indirectly killed themselves thanks to drugs.

I know about 2-3 people who have, none of them really close to me though. My brother's friend in highschool killed himself in his ex-girlfriend's driveway after she refused to take him back. Since I went to the same HS the very next year it was a big deal. There was another girl who was a year older than me in HS who hung herself, but she had a long history of drug problems.

My senior year at college a freshman hung himself in his dorm room which really shook the place up - kid was a star hockey player, good lookin guy, had everything going for him (apparently.) My freshman year a kid a year older than me (who I had almost fought a few months prior, but other than that didn't really know) got hit by a train while drunk after fighting with his gf - people speculated that he may have been trying to kill himself.

It really sucks.

Yeh one of my mates as a result of drugs, but he didn't mean to kill himself.

No, but I know someone who is a cutter, and talks about it, and used to be suicidal. Not really a great thing to deal with.

No, but I know someone who died in Iraq - was in all the British papers too.

Anyone remember the youngest British soldier to die in Iraq? Yeah, I knew him. Quite well actually, at one point. Been over my house a fair few times, a friend of my sister. Sad thing was he was a nice guy, funny but hard working. Real shame.

That's the only death to hit me kinda out of the blue.
