I agree with you, thats why I feel the death penalty is appropriate in the cut and dry cases where there are no questions. I don't feel certain people need more then one trial. I think the entire legal system needs quite an overhaul anyway.

That is also true. It's a bit of a mess.

Death penalty is bad. Too many cases of years later the suspect actually being found innocent. If the suspect is killed, the investigation isn't further looked into.

However, rapists & other sex offenders should be punished severely with torture.

There's a contradiction if I've ever seen one... what happens if the rapists/sex offenders are later proven innocent? And isn't prison-time fairly torturous?

If all circumstanding evidence points towards a suspect, and it is 100% positive that they were guilty of the crime, I say any child molester or rapist should be punished by castration.

Freak, you suck. If you've ever been a victim of any form of sexual assault, you would feel strongly.

Like Brendan said, if absolutely all evidence is proven to be correct then they should be severely tortured.

Prison time isn't enough for sex offenders because they are not kept in nearly long enough.

What sort of "severe torture" are you talking about? We're pas the f'n medieval times you know. And like I said, sex offenders take their share of sexual abuse wherever they're locked up. They don't give fancy Paul Bernardo-style glass jail cells to rapists, they put them in a huge building with other rapists. I don't know if that's what you mean by torture, I would imagine you aren't actually implying we should bring the ol' stretching machine out of the Smithsonian.

And again, you just crossed your logic from before; if a murderer is proven completely guilty why not kill him? Assuming it's okay to burn off convicted sex offenders' fingers and toes.
