What are some good movies that you've recently seen. I highly recommend:

This is a great movie about skinheads. Russell Crowe plays an excellent lead role. It's basically a battle between the Aryans and the Asians. It's a lot more realistic than American History X. There's also much more physical violence.

In my opinion, this is one of the best films ever made. Everyone should see this at least once.

Italian sleaze at its best. If you're a female activist, you probably shouldn't see this one.

Awesome Japanese action film. Some of the most graphically violent scenes I've ever seen. The story is amazing.

Anyone see anything else good? Besides the pure crap that Hollywood has been releasing lately.

I'm taking a film class this quarter so I've seen a lot of older movies that I wouldn't normally see, and some of them are wonderful. Casablanca, Best Years of Our Lives, Citizen Kane and On the Waterfront are probably the best ones I've seen in recent weeks. Le Maitre de Musique is another great film if you don't mind having to read subtitles.

I had to watch Casablanca in film class too. I ####ing hated it. I don't see why people think it's so great.

I hated Citizen Kane. It could've been a lot shorter. Some of the dialog and scenes just seemed to drone on forever and they didn't seem to serve that big of a purpose to go on that long.

The movie should've been like 1 hour or something. The ending and ultimate message was good...but it just went on for too long and the drama wasn't nearly good enough for that.

I saw Elf last week in theatre...I didn't really like it 'cause:

A) kid's movie
B) kid's CHRISTMAS movie
C) Christmas movie

and so forth. It had it's moments though.

I havent really seen any good movies lately. My fav film is probably Donnie Darko, everyone should check it out, if you like thinkin on things you can go into it, if not just enjoy the movie.
Dazed and Confused - never gets old, great to watch before a party.

Yup...like sit on your computer and visit forums all day.

The last movie I saw was Matrix Revolutions. I'd like to see Elf and the Looney Tunes movie, but that'll have to wait til video. The next movie I'll probably see will be The Return of the King.

When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near. Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the country not enter the city. For this is the time of punishment in fullfillment of all that has been written. How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! There will be great distress in the land and wrath against this people. They will fall by the sword and be taken as prisoners to all nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.
...At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.

I'll be in the neighborhood later on, and I was wondering if maybe you wanted to get some frozen yogurt, or perhaps a whole meal of food, if that would be agreeable. Damnit.
