The Rundown - anyone seen it?

I'll admit it, the thought of watching The Rock in a movie was about as appealing as ripping my eyelids off and punching myself in the face.

HOWEVER, The Rundown doesn't look that bad. Anyone see it? Anyone going to?

I liked it. The Rock is definitely the next action star. The comic timing is great and there's lots of exciting action.

I would catch it if I were you, Miakal. Whether you like the Rock or not, you can't deny the man is funny. ;)

I wanna see it. Maybe I'll go on Friday or something.

I saw Cabin Fever this past Friday. What a ####ing waste of money. Terrible movie, no point. And the parts I did stay awake in were very repulsive for me.

I liked Cabin Fever, myself. I guess that's just a movie where you either love it or you hate it, you get it or you don't. Cabin Fever was a tribute to movies like The Evil Dead that prided themselves in not only being horrific and gory, but also funny.

I also enjoyed it's little tribute to Last House on the Left with song song Wait for Rain playing in the background near the beginning.

Saw it, enjoyed it. The Rock has great timing which helps an acting career. I was able to seperate Rock from actor Rock which was good. I thought alot of the fight scenes were well choreographed and some of the stunts were original. Not a big fan of Sean William Scott though.

Rundown is going to tank off the box office after this week. I also don't buy The Rock as the next big action star. He still has a lot to prove. Opening at #1 is cool, but it was a slow weekend (as indicated by the 18 million, as opposed to the 30 million everyone kept talking about), and this movie was mega hyped.

There is a brief cameo from Arnold in the begining which Hollywood experts are saying is the symbolic passing of the torch from Arnie to Rockie. If you can get past Rock as a wrestler, he does make a decent actor. Compared to Stalone, Arnold and Vin Diesel, he can act. But then again action stars aren't normally renowned for their acting abilities.

Ten out of ten people die, so don't take life too seriously.

I think in order for people to call The Rock the next big action star The Rock has to be in a mega-huge movie. Terminator or Rocky style huge.
