It was a loaded comment, which is fine, but just because America doesn't share the same passion for soccer and rugby that the rest of the world does doesn't mean sh*t. The US dominated the Olympics, which is the gold standard of international athletic competition. As for soccer in general, I don't find it that exciting but it is certainly difficult to play, and I have friends who played rugby in college, and they can attest to how tough it is. And no professional athlete can be considered a p*ssy - except maybe golfers and curlers. But DDG, as for your flamebaiting point, you're wrong - the US kicks ass in international competition. |
