The Temptation of Getting a Mobile Phone - Hmmm... Ummm... Hmmm...

Im too young to have a car so instead of paying taxi fee's I usually call someone to bring me home, but a lot of times theres no phones. Coming out of a nightclub is pure hectic because everyone has a phone and the people who dont are hogging up the payphones.

So I need it as a necessity, in quite a few situations (Work, after school activitays).

But, the thing is, I dont know if its like this in America, but in the UK and Ireland, having a phone is like a new piece of culture. If you have a phone, people find out, they grab your phone, read your messages, punch in their number, punch your number into their phone, and before you know it your getting stupid ####ing repetitive messages which are literally always:

"hi im at _ watsup?"

Sick.

Oh no, Daves one of [i:post_uid0]those[/i:post_uid0] guys, not just the usual kinda [i:post_uid0]those[/i:post_uid0] guys (Which he also is) but hes one of, yknow, [i:post_uid0]those[/i:post_uid0] guys.

Some people are shocked when I saw I dont have a mobile, screw that mop.

So when you're at a club or a pub or a party or something and you meet a chic how do you get her number? Do you carry a pen and paper with you?

I do, what's wrong with that? Sometimes I just bring a pen, and tell them to fetch a piece of paper.

No, but theres nothing wrong with bringing a pen and paper, its not as if you run around with a huge notepad all night. And then some girls bring pen and paper but those girls have room for pockets on their clothing so there goes that possibility.

What the #### anyways, I usually never bother calling a girl back.

Meh, no big deal. If you need it, get one. Duh.

If you don't want people incessantly texting you, just make sure you're careful who you give your number to. I manage that easily enough.

You get one Reilly.. then you can throw your privacy and any time to yourself out of the window.

You get one and suddenly find yourself working for 24 hours a day on call rather than the average 8.

Go get yourself an electronic ball and chain.. everyone else has!

Best thing that ever happened to me was mine getting somehow damaged a few years ago.. i would never get another.
