Rep Power: 7 ![]() | A Test conducted by tobacco companies suggests that no damage is caused my passive smoking. Anti Smoking companies have conducted tests that passive smoking IS harmful. Is it right to ban smokers in public places? Is it right to discriminate against Smokers? How can a non smoker bitch about someone smoking next to them in a restaurant.. then wont say a word about the lung full of exhaust fumes they recieve when they leave? Is it a fuss over nothing.. or should smokers be banned from smoking in public places. |

Rep Power: 18 ![]() | I think all restaurants should be non-smoking. However, I see no reason to ban smoking at bars. It's stupid as hell. If a bar doesn't want to have smoking then they can have a no smoking bar, but it shouldn't be mandated by the city. |

Rep Power: 7 ![]() | I agree with the restaraunt thing.. even though im a smoker I still wouldnt like someone smoking near by when im trying to eat. Everywhere else is bullshÃ*t though. The government make billions off smokers.. and then treat them like sh*t. Its amazing that during the British Beef scare a few years ago.. british beef was banned because it killed one person in 2 million. yet smoking kills thousands every day and they still wouldnt ban it.. its making them too much money. |

Rep Power: 6 ![]() | I think that the state should re-emburse all the restaurants and bars and what not, that had to pay for better air filtration systems. And Miakal has a good idea. But I believe that some restaurants should be non-smoking and some should be smoking. All restaurants should be vaulenteer based smoking or non-smoking though, not designated by the city or state. And bars should be smoking. All smoking places should have a clearly posted sign, saying so. |

Rep Power: 41 ![]() | Christ, it's already been done here, I can totally see in many buildings, restaurants etc. But now their basically looking to have a province-wide banning on smoking. |

Rep Power: 22 ![]() ![]() | No where does it bother me that they ban it except bars. Infact I am glad they don't let people smoke anywhere other then bars. But it is the seperate smoking area that will soon to happen make it annoying when you just want to have your drink, smoke and shoot some pool. I am not sure when it has to be infoced but I am hoping not any time soon. |

Rep Power: 11 ![]() | I smoke. If smoking ever gets banned in bars it will be a complete joke. The anti-smoking lobby in Australia claims from their research that about 70% of people want smoking banned in bars. That's gotta be bullshit considering about 90% of people in a bar are holding a smoke. If you don't wanna breathe my fumes don't be breathing my air assholes. |
